One eye barely open, I glanced around the room, desperate for it to stop spinning. There’s a faint moan beside me, and when I carefully turned my head towards it, I saw brunette hair splayed across the pillow and down the back of a naked chick. My eyes slowly move down to the small of her back—my favorite part of a woman’s body.

 

I stopped when I recognized the Celtic tattoo and quickly lifted the sheet to see if I had my briefs on, I did. I slowly sat up to look for any evidence of last night’s shit show. No condom…no wrapper, thank God.  Lube and a vibrator? What the hell?

“What are you doing?” giggled Amanda as her cold claws rubbed my back. I tried to straighten out of her grip. “Baby relax, let’s finish what we started last night,” She whispered in my ear before kissing the side of my neck.

“Did we?”

“No, you passed out before the party really got started. I had to use my vibrator to finish the job.”

“Uh, sorry about that.” I pulled her hands off me.

“Why don’t you make it up to me, Bentley? Like the good ol’ days, back in high school. I miss this.” she growled, grabbing my dick.

 

I shot out of the bed and scrambled for my pants.

“Where are you going?” Amanda grabbed my shirt and threw it over herself.

“I...ah…I need to go.” I stuttered, trying to put my shoes on without falling flat on my face.

“Bentley.” Amanda whined, throwing my shirt at me.

Bang-Bang-Bang, “Bentley get your ass up. We gotta go.” Curtis yelled.

“Thank Christ.” I mumbled under my breath as I pulled my shirt over my head.

 

“That’s it? You’re going to leave me like this, wet and wanting you? Needing you to fill me?” moaned Amanda.

“Sorry, Amanda, but I gotta go. Curtis and I already made plans.”  I opened the door and looked at my best friend.

“Bentley Knight before you walk out that door, you better think long and hard. There will not be a third time.”

“There shouldn’t have been a second,” I toss over my shoulder and ducked just in time to miss a glass as it shattered on the wall in front of me. I closed the door and looked over to Curtis, laughing his ass off. “Let’s get the fuck out of here.”

 

 

Author Bio:

Shawnté lives in central Alberta, with her husband Ricky of 10 amazing years and together they have two beautiful children. Somehow her husband has managed to trick her into running a cow/calf operation. As much as she fusses about it, she loves it. 

When Shawnté is not sitting at her kitchen table hammering away on her laptop while watching the moose chase her cows across the yard, yes this really happens. Then she is busy attend school activities, community events and chauffeuring children here and there. She is big on playing softball and watching hockey.

When the time comes to relax, you will find her snuggled underneath her down comforter reading on her Ipad. Wait…who are we kidding, if the dishes, vacuuming, laundry or the bathrooms needs a hose down, you’ll always hear her say, “Just after this chapter.” She doesn’t have a favorite author or best story because everyday she falls in love with someone new.

 For sixteen years, my life has been normal. Piedsville, Oklahoma isn't the tourist mecca of the world, but it's where I live. It's my junior year and I've known everyone since Kindergarten, everyone except her, Pru Phelan. She walked into my English class, my heart stopped. I'd never heard the name Phelan before, so I Googled it and found Phelan means wolf. What I didn't know, she was a werewolf and soon my destiny would change.

This is the story about the prophecy of the Great Wolf and how it relates to me. I'm Abel Casey, and I am the Great Wolf.

The Legacy of Kilkenny is a young adult story about werewolves, friendship, family, and fear.

About the Author

  I've thought of myself as a writer for as long as I can remember. Being a grown up with a grown up job and a family to raise, left me with little time to write. Everyone is grown up now, and I get to do something I want to do. My love of young adult books helped mold me into the paranormal writer I am today.

    The Legacy of Kilkenny Saga is near and dear to my heart.  When I started the series, my own son was a junior in high school and Abel has many of his characteristics.  Each character has a little of my daughter and son in them.  I wanted the series to be about friendship and family, two things that are important to me.  The first book really takes the reader on a journey with Abel as he matures.  By the time you get to The Great Wolf, you will see a transformed young man and the decisions how he handles the pressure of being a werewolf.  I hope you enjoy the Legacy books,

MY REVIEW: I read both of these books and I fell in love with this series! I can not wait for the 3rd book. I loved that this wasn't just like every other book I have read with a messed up teen who finds out she has special powers. Arcadia is a normal girl and the author is good about making you feel that way the whole time. I enjoyed these books so much!

When he wakes up in a world he never knew existed, he meets new people and does things he never would have thought he would have done before. I liked the new characters right along with the same characters you met in Protector.
I have loved every book I have read by Tressa and I didn't expect this story to be anything other than amazing! :)

Bond of Love - Review

MY REVIEW: It took me 30 chapters into this book to finally get interested. I felt that it started out very slow and I got a little annoyed that the author compared everything to a food item. When you read it you will see what I am talking about. The Character Kara seemed to repeat herself a lot and was a bit annoying when it came to scenes with her boyfriend Lance.....now that I have said that I would also say that it's a GOOD BOOK! It's different but I liked that it keeps you guessing and wondering about the outcome. I like that it's written from 3 different point of views. It doesn't leave you guessing about what all the characters are thinking because they are telling you when it gets back around to their chapter. It was very detailed and I like that. All in all it was a good book, just started out very slow for me.

About the Author:  This is Amy’s second published work, the first being a memoir written exclusively for her children. As a former second grade teacher, and long time professional photographer, she has been writing and filling journals since she was young enough to hold a pencil and form words. Although writing brings her to a place of solace and joy, her most ambitious and fulfilling job in life thus far has been being a mother. “You’re mine, Cassie, my Chosen. I cannot do what it is I have to do without you.” He felt emotions that seemed to have been building all day begin to rush through him and he was nearly overwhelmed. He cupped her face and leaned down and pressed his lips to hers. He shouldn’t be lying here with the most incredibly sweet woman he’d ever met. He didn’t deserve her, and yet, he wouldn’t let her go, not ever.

Cassie moaned as Trik kissed her. If there was one thing her assassin could do, it was kiss. His lips worked a spell over her as she parted her lips for him. The taste of him rushed into her and she pushed closer to him, needing to feel him against her—needing to know that she was safe and that Trik wouldn’t let anything happen to her. His arms wrapped around her and he rolled them so that she was on top of him. She laughed into their kiss at the quick motion, and when she opened her eyes, she saw his silver ones staring back at her.

“You’re so beautiful, A’maelamin,” he whispered to her.

She felt his hands run down her back and stop at the lowest point of the small of her back. She would like to say that she was feeling virtuous, but that would be a big, fat lie. She wiggled against him and Trik groaned and gripped her hips suddenly, holding her still.

“You know what they say about those who play with fire?” Trik asked her in a dangerously low and utterly seductive voice.

Cassie leaned down until her mouth was next to his ear. “That they’re begging to be burned?”

 

Excerpt 2

 

“No comments on saving the world, huh?” Elora asked sarcastically.

“I think it goes without saying that I and my sword are capable of saving the world,” Cush answered.

Elora was struck mute by the sheer confidence he exuded. She was trying really hard to not want him, and if he wasn’t so self-assured, handsome, calm under pressure, and funny—in a totally unexpected way—she’d be doing alright. But he was all of those things and he kept saying things that threw her off balance. She glanced at him from the corner of her eye. Bad move genius, she told herself. Rule number one; do not look at the hotness. Okay, maybe this could work if she could just set up some ground rules for herself. She could call them: Rules to stay un-elfed. She mentally smiled at her made up title and then mentally kicked herself for basically have a conversation with herself, complete with laughing at her own jokes. She settled down into her seat without responding to his sharp, witty, and admittedly hilarious comment.

“Wake me when we get to the restaurant,” Elora said to no one in particular.

“Elora, it will take all of five minutes to get to a place to eat,” Lisa pointed out.

What Elora wanted to say was, that’s five minutes too many to be stuck in this ride with the only guy she had ever met that made her want to bat her eye lashes and giggle like a moron, but what she actually said was, “Five minutes of sleep is better than none.” Witty? No. Drama free? At least on the outside she was.
