MY Review: I'm a big fan of J. L. Sheppard This in the the third book in her Elemental Sisters Series.....It might just be my favorite! I really enjoyed the story of Ashley and Clyde. Clyde is so sweet and passionate while Ashley is just like her sisters, independent and hard headed.....I don't think we are done with the elemental sisters, I can't wait to read more!

Under A Blood Moon

Elemental Enchanters is a YA Paranormal series by author Carrigan Richards. Currently, there are two books released in the series with a prequel companion story and book three being currently in the works. Here's a bit about both books currently out, and a peek at the new, revamped covers!

About Under A Blood Moon:
Falling in love isn’t the only problem for Ava Hannigan.
When seventeen-year-old Ava discovers that she can breathe underwater, she’s disappointed. She wanted to be normal and dreads the day of her initiation into one of the most powerful covens of Elemental Enchanters. She has fallen in love with a human, which is forbidden, but she has such a strong connection with Peter, the only other person who knows what it’s like to grow up motherless.
Ava and her friends never expected to be caught up in the middle of a three-hundred-year-old war. Devon wants revenge against the humans for killing his master. Xavier, a ruthless witch, is building an army for Devon by spellbinding several students into becoming dark Enchanters. After Xavier realizes Ava and her friends are Elementals, Devon will stop at nothing to have their power. Xavier threatens Ava, attempting to coerce her to join them, but when she refuses, he kidnaps Peter.
Ava must seek help from her coven to defeat Devon and accept her life as a witch in order to save Peter and protect the humans.

MY REVIEW: It took me just a couple chapters to get fully hooked on this book, once I was in I was in all the way! I couldn't put it down. I loved all the characters, the good the bad and the ugly. I have a soft spot for Xavier....I guess I tend to like the bad boys. I really look forward to reading the second book. I'd give this book 4 Stars!

About Under the Burning Stars:
Everyone said it was over. But Ava knew it was just the beginning.
After risking everything and beating the odds to be with the love of her life, Peter, life should be good for Ava. Far from it. An altercation with the humans has left him struggling with his new life as an Enchanter, and Ava can feel him slipping away. Nightmares of her mother’s murder haunt her, and leave her grappling with the darkness inside herself. She will stop at nothing to uncover the truth about her mother, even if that truth is more dangerous than anything she’s faced before.
After her search for knowledge lands her on the verge of banishment from her coven, Ava must seek forgiveness from everyone and forge her own destiny as the coven faces an onslaught of war.

About Carrigan Richards:

Carrigan was born in Cullman, Alabama, but grew up in Birmingham, and moved to Atlanta at 18. She earned her BA in English at Kennesaw State University. For as long as she can remember, she was always making up stories and characters inside her head, sometimes using her dolls to act out the scenes.

When she's not writing (which is rare), she's spending time with her fiance, family, and friends, listening to music, playing with her sometimes psychotic puppy, or cheering on her Atlanta Braves.

My Review: I loved, loved, loved this book! Raegan and Emmett's story is awesome. Raegan loves her grandfather so much and his character is so love able he feels like what I imagine all grandfathers to be like. Emmett comes along and with out even it meaning to happen he and Raegan reunite and things fall into place. I cried, I laughed, I reminisced about my own high school days in the country. Again, I loved this book!

Excerpt

“Good evening, Mr. Lowery,” Emmett says calmly, but the expression on his face looks like he’s ready to about-face and run as I peek around the kitchen corner.
“Emmett, come in,” Grandaddy says flatly, and I try to resist the urge to giggle. They make their way into the foyer. “Rae will be out in just a minute, but I wanted to talk to you first.”
“Yes, sir,” Emmett replies.
“I expect you to take care of her, Emmett Bridges. She’s a good girl, and I love her more than life itself. If you hurt her, by God, I’ll make you wish you never stepped foot back into Pleasant Hill. Got it?”
“Yes, sir.”
“A’ight. Now, have her home by eleven.”
“Will do, Mr. Lowery.”
“Sunshine!” Grandaddy hollers. “Emmett’s here.”
On that cue, I walk into the foyer to meet him. When I round the corner, I see him standing there in a pair of jeans and a fitted polo, holding a bouquet of daisies. I feel as if the world stops spinning when I see him. A smile spreads across his face, but I can see he’s trying to refrain from a real reaction with Grandaddy standing there.
“You look gorgeous, Raegan,” Emmett states as his smile continues to grow.
